Early in the morning of the 16th of May 2003 La Palma was treated to the spectacle of an almost full Lunar eclipse. 'Almost full' because La Palma was on the very eastern edge of the range of the full eclipse and didn't get to see the 'blood red glow' associated with a total eclipse. The photo series below was taken with a tripod-mounted digital (-on Hi8) video camera between 3.15 and 6.15 in the morning. You can almost read by the light of the full moon in many parts of La Palma, especially away from the 'light-pollution' of the areas around Los Llanos, Tazacorte, Puerto Naos and Santa Cruz de La Palma.
